An enigmatic breeding bird of the Norfolk and Suffolk Brecklands. Birds return from their wintering grounds in March and breed on open fields. In Autumn (Fall) they gather in pre migratory flocks sometimes in excess of 100 birds before departing. Most birds have left the Brecks by late September.
