I woke up this morning to one of these owls perching on my fence. Later, while I was outside, it swooped down a foot away from me and attacked a house finch. It barely missed it. It later perched on our patch of raspberries. It gave a few mellow hoots. It's the cutest and tiniest bird of prey I've seen yet.
