The year the upper reninsula of Michigan had the large forest fire, we had whole flocks of them come to our yard looking for food. We still get a few every winter since the pine forests have not yet grown back. We don't have stone pine locally but they seem happy with sunflower/ safflour seed and tearing apart any pine cone they find.;-)
