On 21st April, sitting on garden rubbish in my back garden.
The beak is strong and very sharp!
On 28th April, looking pretty in an apple tree.
On 29th May, a weary-looking bird. I was quite close. A pair had started to use a nest from last year nearby in my garden, then it was completely moved, perhaps because I had a feeder nearby.
I was looking at it, so it looked at me!
On 11th February 2008, a pair on top of an Oak tree. It was a very sunny, mild winter which is unusual, birds were everywhere as if it was spring.
The red face colouring glowed in the sun.
On 17th March 2008, there was around 50 Goldfinches sat in a tall tree at the edge of my drive.
