Surrounding the Hacienda Garden on the east and south sides is a somewhat whimsical fence that includes some glass globes that each have a different pattern of translucent glass and opaque stone mosaics applied to them. At night these globes are illuminated from within via a low voltage lighting system we built that is timer controlled. This fence is on the east side of the garden and separates the Hacienda Garden from the Cactus garden collection. Each of the squiggly boards were hand cut and a matching cut was made on the cedar boards where they meet. The dark stain on the squiggly boards is just a standard Minwax penetrating stain in the Red Mahogany tint. The cedar and redwood portions of the fence are stained with a light pecan tint and the whole thing gets sealed each year with Thompson\'s Water Seal to protect the wood from our extreme weather conditions.
