though I resisted planting any trees in back, since most of the plants need a lot of light, this Acacia baileyana provides a modicum of filtered light that is perfect for a lot of the plants below it... planted in one of the planter boxes for additional height, it is a favorite place for bird to hang out. However, acacias are messy and this may not have been the best choice.
