I remember growing up in Virginia and seeing Iris everywhere in spring! I've been in Florida 42 years and have never seen them growing down here. I imagine they would grow in the panhandle area where the spring temp's are cooler but I've never seen them in my area. They sure are beautiful plants ... especially this one!
