Seems to prefer cooler summers. (Sow it to spread your risks!) Had a moderate crop in 2006 (Hot and dry summer, Netherlands). 2007 was much cooler and wetter and I had a huge crop that year.

Harvest is spread over a longer period.

Taste: a true delicacy! Preserves its good taste in the freezer.

According to the supplier this bean should not have been on sale yet, as the variety has not been licenced yet. It is expected to be on the market in a few years time.

(A very similar variety is BB2168. So far, less productive in my garden though.)

From Bakker Brothers , who offer this description; "A brown seeded fresh market filet bean. This new, early variety produces straight smooth pods of 18 cm length and 9 mm width. Attractive medium green pods. For maximum yields, this variety has to be picked several times. Resistant to Anthracnose, Halo Blight and Bean Common Mosaic Virus."
