Neutral	Joan	On May 5, 2009, Joan from Belfield, ND (Zone 4a) wrote: Editor's Note Some resources list all parts of Epipremnum, Pothos, Philodendron and Scindapsus as poisonous if ingested. The toxic principal is calcium oxalate crystals. Symptoms include burning and swelling of lips, mouth, tongue, and throat, also diarrhea. Reportedly toxic only if large amounts are eaten. The plant can also cause skin irritation upon contact. Irritation is said to be minor and only lasts for a few minutes. We tend to err on the side of caution in PlantFiles, and the danger notation in the details above is to caution gardeners, parents and pet owners to look further for more information.

It likes very bright light-part sun,high humidity,and lots of root room. Not a philo to be under potted. The leaves grow at least a foot in diameter and are astoundingly beautiful. You would think it was a begonia!.....just is a little difficult.
