This one seems to grow a bit slower than the normal Ice Plant and I find it is cold hardy in my zone 7. The flowers are very pretty and the plant is one of my favs in my succulent patch. All in all its a nice plant.

This is a very low growing succulent groundcover from S Africa- compact, 2cm leaves; bright yellow flowers in summer. Not sure how differs from the 'regular variety'. Nothing particularly gold looking (other than flowers) about this plant that I have noticed. Sure doesn't seem to be as cold hardy as 'regular variety' (per notes arleady in the PFs).
