The Dallas Arboretum says in their trial garden spreadsheet, "This is an excellent aster. The dark green foliar color is maintained throughout our summer heat. The growth habit is compact and reaches heights of 12-16" and blooms heavily starting in September. This plant needs no dead heading!! One of the few asters that we promote for our area!"
