The fabulous 50 is a list of dahlias that have won 50 blue (or higher) awards in any given year. The Stanley Johnson Medal is Awarded to the cultivar, that has not previously won a Stanley Johnson Award, with the greatest number of higher than blue ribbon awards that were won at the approximately 80 shows held by the during the previous year by ADS member societies in the United States and Canada.

Mary Jo has won them both. A good, disease resistant, cultivar. Mary Jo is a border plant - not one for the back of the bed.
