small, nearly spherically leaved plant with very firm, rough, almost knobby leaves. Planted in the yard and had a lot of trouble with the weather... didn't last long.. maybe this southern California climate is not good for this plant... never seen one outdoors before or since. Seen a great one in a pot in a cactus show, though.
