In 2006, this iris won the Morgan-Woods Medal, the highest award the American Iris Society can give a Siberian iris.

The breeders, Marty Schafer and Jan Sacks, have written:

"Stunning rich blue flowers with large rolling ruffles. A sprinkling of white on the falls, and white wire edges on the falls and styles.

"Plenty of stalks with four to five buds each."

Height 40-45".

Schafer-Sacks irises have won 7 of the last 9 Morgan-Woods Medals.
