Tall Branching Sunflower With 4 to 5 Inch Yellow/Red blooms.

This Sunflower has excellent growth and is quite a good brancher. The flowers are about 4 to 5 inches wide and have a deep red center ring and bright yellow outer ring. The colour fades as the flower gets more sun and slowly becomes a pale red and pale yellow. I have had very good success cutting this flower to bring inside. I cut them just before it fully opens and scald the stem in boiling water. The flowers last a week or more and are one of my favourite cut sunflowers because of their longer stems which make them perfect for vases. I highly recommend this sunflower if you wish to grow a sunflower for cutting.
