The version of B. marmorata I have has very silvery leaves, and has been very easy and hardy in terrariums in a moist loose medium; it enjoys warm humid conditions as with Episcia and Begonia prismatocarpa. This Bertolonia is a fairly slow grower, but easy to propagate by seed or by cuttings. Often rests in Winter, but does not die back if kept above 50 F.
