I have taken cuttings at two different times this year. Once in early April. They were unsuccessful. Then again on August 12th, 2006. I had six flats of 50 count trays and divided them up into three different misting environments. The one that proved the best was as follows. The trays were put down on a misting cycle of 5 seconds every 5 minutes for one week. The soil mix for all was 60% peat and 40% perlite. In 7 days roots began to appear and some blooms as well which I quickly pinched off. Timeing is everything. A rooting hormone was used as well. Also, they were drenched with a fine solution of Micro-Bloc. After roots began they were treated with Bio-Works Plantshield. Cornmeal can be used in place of Plantshield.
