We recently purchased dozens of these trees in our community perimeter to replace the haggard bottlebrushes that had been beat up by neglect and various hurricanes. We were told these were highly wind resistant, drough resistant (since we do not have a sprinkler system) and that its root system would not interfere with the pavement nearby. They are currently 5 feet tall, and we cannot wait until they grow the larger, shady canopy and begin to show their small yelow flowers. There are some great ones planted all along Salzedo in Coral Gables, FL before your get to 8th Street.
