As a teen I was priviliged to work at a nursery specializing in irises and peonies. That is where I first came to know this lovely old pink peony. Today, decades since those days I still grow several clumps of these beauties. As I post they are heavy with buds and several fragrant blooms have opened. These were among the first of the peonies to come to the U. S., and dates to 1824. They are early, fragrant and very floriferous.
