This tree has a great tropical look for my area. It's very heat tolerant with moderate water, grows quickly, but will defoliate in a hard frost or even freeze to the ground in a hard freeze. Mine has retained all it's leaves so far this winter with lows in the high 20's. I hope for blooms this summer!
