"S. light to medium blue, darker midrib; style arms light to medium blue; F. dark violet blue paling toward edge; beards blue, old gold in throat; ruffled; slight musky fragrance. Echo Pond X Privileged Character., Mid-America 1998." Often a bloom will have four falls instead of three, and one has had five falls! (Photo in my Journal.) This seems fairly common in this plant. Hardy, dependable, good garden qualities.
