Skin irritation may follow repeated handling of the tubers and contact with leaves and light. The toxic principals are phototoxic polyacetylene compounds. We tend to err on the side of caution in PlantFiles, and the danger notation in the details above is to warn gardeners, parents and pet owners to look further for more information before eating and handling.
Negative	Poochella	On Dec 5, 2007, Poochella from Issaquah, WA (Zone 7a) wrote: I cannot muster any love for Foxy Lady. I've tried for several years. It isn't foxy enough. LOL! The colors are bland here, the blooms are average in number. I'm giving up.
