This plant is native to the tropics of South America. Grown indoors here in Maine. Colorful Lanceolate leaves glaborus on both surfaces. Leaves mainly bright green except for the top few levels of growth which are magenta to fuschia colored.
Very easy to care for, likes indirect or filtered light and likes high humidity and moderate watering (Do Not Overwater). It needs constant moistness, so mist the leaves or pour some water into the cupped areas where leaves meet stalk. Enjoys average indoor temps. 18'-21' C
