This particular Brunfelsia, a native of Mexico and hardy in zones 9 to 11, is said to be a Hummingbird attractant.

We had it in a pot in our hummingbird garden, but didn't have luck getting it to bloom in our zone 6 garden. I think it needs more heat and/or better sunshine than our yard can provide.
