'Red Escort' possumhaw is a handsome male selection needed for pollination of the great female fruiting forms of Ilex decidua. This plant was introduced by the late Bob Simpson of Vincennes IN, known for many contributions to the nursery profession and ornamental horticulture.

It has an excellent globe form and glossy dark green foliage, easily earning its place in the landscape.
