A fantastic plant for hot and dry areas - particularly coastal as it has a high salt tolerance.
Germinates easily from seed and will grow fast if given sufficient food, heat and sun
endemic to Mauritius in mostly coastal areas although occasional on the mainland. Commonly grown ornamental.
Will form large robust and sometimes multi headed trees with age.
Excellent for bees when in bloom.

This dracaena is native to Ile Aux Aigrettes ( a tiny island at s.east coast ) of Mauritius.Fast grower also planted indoor and outdoor. Grow nicely in pots but need to plant it outside in some years as it grows rapidly. The flower are orange-brown in group. Grow very well from cuttings also. Also in Mauritius it is classified in the Liliaceae family.
