Hyacinth orientalis 'Crystal Palace' is a very dark blue double hyacinth with a dark stem, a double sport of Hyacinth 'Blue Jacket'. Note that I have found the deep dark blue color is hard to capture with my camera--my photos seem to make it appear more reddish blue.

Hyacinths provide a burst of color in early spring, and their flowers have a nice fragrance. They do well with little care, and will return year after year. However, their showings in later years are usually less impressive than their first.
