Beautiful, fast growing plant. Everything about this plant is big; size, flowers and THORNS! Heavy re-seeder. Needs lots of room. Parent plants do not survive central Illinois winters, but not to worry, you'll have more than enough seedlings the next spring. Seeds sprout early to mid May in this area and grow quickly. Seedlings transplant well as long as they are kept moist. Loves full, hot sun but with average water needs. Almost maintenance free. Does not flop even with strong winds.

This plant has been said to grow in the following regions:

Fort Mohave, Arizona
