A good variety for southern climates. Mid-late season, smaller bulbs than 'Burgandy Creole' and definitely red not burgundy in color. Stores 7-8 months. Robust, rich-flavor (pungency: strong but not painful), flavor 8 (out of 10--but not quite as good as 'Burgundy Creole' in my opinion), hotness 6 (out of 10), excellent raw or cooked. An overall very good variety with stronger flavor than 'Burgundy Creole', vigourous grower, free of pests and disease.
