My rating would really be somewhere between positive and neutral. "Bloodspot" is an acceptable grower, not the best, not the worst in the yard and not a particularly great bloomer, but the color is a true red and has a very red effect in the yard. All red daylilies are really red layered over yellow but the red on this one is highly saturated and completely covers the yellow base of the petals. The tall scapes display the flowers well, I just wish it grew a little faster and bloomed a little more.
