Twining herb. Leaves are heart-shaped with coarse teeth in the basal part. Flowers white to pale orange with a yellow centre; corolla tube up to 2 cm, clasped in green leaf-shaped bracts.

Native to Zimbabwe where its' native habitat is with riverine fringe vegetation. Flowering time is October to April.
