(Zone 8b). Great leaf structure with red stems. It has grown well in acidic clay soil in part sun. This plant has been deer resistant as have most of my gingers. It flowers before the leaves come up. It is very late to coming up compared to my other gingers. It is now mid may and it is just starting to emerge. My Hedychium gingers are already 4-5 ft tall.

This is a great curcuma to add to your collection. Although a shy bloomer, once established a couple of years it should bloom.
