Those photos are from 2007, the first summer after their fall planting. They have not returned since.

However, the soil where I planted may be contaminated with petroleum and other auto-related fluids from the previous homeowner. The area is near a driveway, and cars may have been parked where the bed now is.

[Aug 2010] Planted a new set of bulbs this spring and the results are stunning. Hope they come up again next year.
