This beautiful tulip appeared between Janis Ruksans open pollinated T. fosteriana seedlings, but by the flower shape it somewhat resembles garden cultivar and only brightest red color so characteristic to this species force to sonsider it as fosteriana. In any case it has at least 50% fosteriana blood and is very vigorous grower with extremely large (up to 20 cm) marvellous blooms. Height 55-60 cm.
