SONGWRITER (Stamile, P.) TET [(San Ignacrning opener, 6 x 3 x 2 . 6-way branching. 40 buds. Called a red by those seeing it in the early season, SONGWRITER is really a deep, clear vibrant rose with a citron green throat. Blooms are exceptionally large with first blooms easily over 7 and petal width easily over 4. One of the finest Tetra Grace Pierce seedlings I have seen SONGWRITER seems to have it all wonderful flutes and ruffles while opening flat and easily. Later blooms often have a fringey white edge on the edges of the ruffles. Absolutely gorgeous and a personal favorite. Fertile both ways
