Grew almost 5 feet tall, spent 8 weeks in late fall covered with blue/lilac blooms, brought all sorts of bees from all OVER the neighborhood. Had as many neighbors stop to ask about the asters, as stopped to ask about the giant cockscombs! I've handed out about 20 starts around the neighborhood---more requests coming - slatwood

What a heat and sun tolerant plant this is. It does reproduce by underground runners however and our winter rains made it quite the troublesome plant. Will try it in a pot this year.
