The Serena™ series is the first Angelonia series that is available from seed. A more compact Angelonia, it is supposed to be an excellent plant for hot, dry, humid and even wet garden areas. Generally, 'Serena White' grows to about a foot tall; however, in the deep south (especially in Florida), it can grow 18 inches tall or more. The series has two-lipped, 3/4-inch, white blooms on narrow terminal spikes which appear from spring to early fall. Deadheading is not required. Although in most USDA Zones it is an annual, it is winter hardy to USDA Zones 9-11. It is suitable as a bedding or container plant.
