Absolutely LOVE this plant. Thick, blueish green leaves, large, gorgeous flowers, requires no special treatment - what's not to love? Grows in amended clay and part shade. When it's done blooming I cut it back hard, and the foliage quickly grows back very nicely. Requires very little extra watering during the summer.

This plant is short and compact with large flowers for a columbine (about 3"). It has a delicate med. blue color and grows well for me in part clay and sandy loam soils. I really love this plant.
