'Byers Golden' possumhaw is an excellent yellow-fruited selection of the underused large deciduous holly group. It is relatively unknown to gardeners outside of arboreta or collectors. The copious yellow fruit contrast well with other red-fruited plants and display magnificently against the dark green winter foliage of conifers and broadleaved evergreens.

This is a hard plant to obtain, mainly because it is difficult to propagate other than by grafting. The effort is more than rewarded when one observes the plant in full fruit in winter.
