With a little research on soil preparation and growing tips garlic is very easy to grow. I planted an 8 variety garlic sampler and I had a 100% success rate with Susanville. The bulbs are about the same size as the large ones found in the grocery store and have large cloves. When planted 6" apart it doesn't take a lot of space to grow plenty for the 2 of us!
