To be honest, I have not taken the best of care of my little "tree". It is growing in partially amended but still poorly drained, soil that has heavy clay (grey) content and, I'm sad to say, has been covered with weeds the past 2 summers. None the less, it remains healthy and is growing, although very slowly. I have been quite surprised by the color. The med green leaves are edged in fairly wide swathes of light to med pink along with white. It retains this color until late fall when the leaves turn light to med orange.
