Hyacinthus orientalis 'Isabelle' is a dark blue double. Some sources call it a 'double triple' but I am not really sure what that means. The blooms were shorter than most others but were very uniform and dense. 'Isabelle' has been blooming in mid Mar in my Zone 9 garden for 4 years, but after starting with 5 bulbs I only had 1 left this year.( don't know why?)--still it is worth growing for its deep color and unusual petals.
