This Malaysian native can reach 6 ft tall. Slender green pointed leaves to 1- 1 1/2 ft long . The 3 ft tall stems bear showy foot long inflorescence; The yellow aging to scarlet bracts overlap; the yellowish flowers have black tips. Makes a great cut flower.
