Baker Creek offers this plant with the following:
"Large plants can grow to 10' and produce large, beautiful seed heads. Stems are a bright burgundy color. This variety was from Mr. Hartman of Jacksonville, Oregon. In the 1970s he had a yearly contest and offered the winner a $100 prize for the nearest guess as to how many seeds were in his 2-gallon jar."
