I have 2 of these & I got them at Lowes in 2003. They are wonderful & have NEVER failed to bloom profusely on Mothers Day! I love them & highly reccommend them.

'Mother's Day'
This is one of the compact low-growing Kurume varieties. It has 2 inch hose-in-hose flowers that are bright red and blooms at mid-season. 'Mother's Day' is hardy to about -5 degrees F.

I grew this one for several years and just loved it. It succumbed after I moved it and didn't properly care for it.
Its name derives from its ease of greenhouse forcing. Bred to sell to coincide with Mother's Day. Despite this, it is reported to be very cold hardy.
I wish I could find this one locally again for sale.
