This variety is also found in Mauritius.As thorny as B.Lupulina and the leaves are oblong- large Thorns are long and thin , even more vicious than the Lupulina.Leaves are green and slightly glossy.It grows as shrubs of about 2 m or more in height and grow upwards, not a very large in diametert as shrubs.Flowers are yellow-orange in colour.B.Prionitis can be seen in quite many types of soil, from marsh land to dry or high alkaline soil.
