This plant is originally from Madagascar and now very established in the tropics, mascareigne. The leaves are coriaceous thus the name of the plant, fruits are green but yellow when ripe. The seeds are sub-spherical drupe and dark brown and also very hard. The ripe fruits have a sticky yellow flesh and very appreciated by children.
