According to plants.usda.gov website, Cerastium vulgatum is a synonym name for this plant. Also according to Peterson Field Guides Edible Wild Plants the leaves must be cooked. The leaves and stems should be boiled for 5 min. & served as greens. A tea can also be made from it .
