I purchased my little plant from Arrowhead Alpines. There is not much information on this oregano, but I did find this:
This is an excerpt from Phagat's Garden online about this oregano:
"Origanum suendermannii (or sundermanii) has to date been much more available in Europe. We obtained this rarely offered oregano from a small grower, Overland Enterprises, in Seattle, & put it in our garden just as Autumn was beginning.

It's relative rarity is puzzling because it is one of the lovelier-flowered groundcover oreganos, blooming persistently from the start of July until October. The photo here, taken in October, is of the flowers finally winding down; in July & August the bright pink blooms are darker & far more numerous.

It wants full sun & well-draining soil. It spreads slowly & is never as dense a groundcover as dwarf creeping oregano (Origanum vulgar ssp hirtum 'Humile'), but it is more loosely spreading rather like 'Kent Beauty' (Origanum rotundifolium 'Kent Beauty'). It is among the showiest low-growing oreganos for flowers.

The species is named for the Bavarian botanist Franz Sundermann, founder in 1886 of the Botanische Alpengarten (Bontanical Alpine Garden) in Lindau,Bavaria, today overseen by the grandson Ferdinand Sundermann. "
