Notes from USDA GRIN

Fruit: indistinguishable from Delicious, except skin some- what redder; color pattern striped; less red that dark red Delicious sports such as Starkrimson. A sport of Delicious.

A faintly red-fruited, bud mutation of Delicious, discovered in 1930; introd. in the 1950's.
